Fair-Faced Concrete
Achieve a first-class, superior concrete finish with the alkus all-plastic facing alkus. First time, every time. Even after hundreds of pours. The finish quality does not decline, but stays constant throughout the project. You can clean formwork panels with high-pressure washers up to 1000 bar. On site. You need about 10 % of the release agent normally used. And you can repair the facing on site, using the mobile alkus repair set.
Facing Repairs and Cleaning
Unlike conventional plywood facing, the all-plastic facing alkus withstands tough cleaning, even on site. Cleaning the facing with high pressure washers up to 1000 bar removes all concrete residues. Try that with plywood. It will not work.

Sustainability
The all-plastic facing has revolutionised formwork. It puts an end to plywood waste in formwork. It is recycled to 100 % on the same product level. This means that alkus cuttings are recycled for new panels.
Since the year 2000, MEVA has implemented this technology in all its products. It's our standard all over the world and in all rental fleets. Concrete contractors have direct access to the identical facing technology all over the world. This MEVA innovation is a huge contribution to environmental quality, since plywood waste has become redundant. Conservatively, 75,000 m² of plywood waste are saved every year. And the consumption of chemicals such as release agents has been reduced to one tenth. That makes 90 % savings per year.
